<p>The pair of tongs, especially for picking up dog's excrement, consists of two triangular frames (5, 6), joined by a spring-loaded pivot (1) through lugs (2, 3), and with one frame having its tip bent outwards relative to the other one to enable their bases (9) to be opened when pressure is applied to the tips. With a plastics bag fitted over the bases of the two frames, the tongs can be used to pick up a dog's droppings and then enclose them in the bag without any physical contact. When not being used to pick up the droppings, the tongs can be used as a handle for a dog's lead. The frames can be made from stainless or chromed steel rod, or other suitable material.</p> |
