PURPOSE:To improve the traveling performance and reduce the generation of noise by installing a disc-shaped mass member for reducing the characteristic vibration frequency due to the two-node vibration of a wheel set coaxially onto the side part of a wheel and reducing the torsional vibration of the wheel set. CONSTITUTION:A wheel set 1 is formed by fixing a pair of wheels 3 at the both edge parts of an axle 2. The axle 2 is rotatably supported by the bearing 6 of a shaft box 5 installed onto the yoke 4 on the bogie side. In this constitu tion, a disc-shaped mass member 8 for reducing the characteristic vibration frequency due to the two-node vibration of the wheel set 1 is installed coaxially on the side part of the wheel 3. In other words, the mass member 8 corresponds to the conventional brake disc, and installed outside the wheel 3 through an installation member in substitution for the installation to the center part 2a of the axle 2. A brake caliper 9 is set oppositely onto the peripheral edge part of the mass member 8. |
