PURPOSE: A butterfly valve is provided to prevent the abrasion caused by friction between the disc and the seat ring when opening and closing the flow path of the valve body. CONSTITUTION: A butterfly valve comprises a valve body(111), a seat ring(125), a disc(120), a drive unit, and a shaft(101). The seat ring is installed on the flow path of the valve body. The disc is installed to rotate in the valve body and can contact the seat ring in order to open and close the flow path. The drive unit reciprocates and rotates the disc in order to prevent the interference between the disc and the seat ring when the flow path of the valve body is opened and closed. The shaft is installed in the valve body and allowed to reciprocate and rotate, and the shaft connects the disc and the drive unit.
