<p>PURPOSE: To locate a reinforcing bar in reinforced concrete easily by generating an AC field in a region to be measured using a ringlike induction coil and detecting increase of a magnetic field due to presence of a ferromagnetic substance in the region to be measured. CONSTITUTION: A region to be measured is surrounded by a ringlike induction coil 10 which is then fed with a low frequency AC current to induce an AC magnetic field in the surrounded region. When a reinforcing bar is present in reinforced concrete within the region to be measured, the voltage to be detected by an induction coil 1 for detection increases. An indicator 3 indicates the fact that the induction coil 1 has detected the increase of the magnetic field and notifies the presence of a reinforcing bar in reinforced concrete to an operator.</p> |
