<p>PURPOSE:To reduce installation space by employing a stationary circuitbreaker and a superconducting current limit transformer having a high temperature superconducting current limiting element then containing them together with a CT/PT in a single cooling tank. CONSTITUTION:A semi-conductor switch 13 is employed in order to produce a stationary noiseless interruptor section while a superconducting current limiting element 12 is employed in order to reduce energy to be produced upon shortcircuit fault. Furthermore, a superconducting coil, an amorphous core and the like are employed in the transformer section in order to reduce iron loss. Then these components are placed together in a thermally insulated container 7 and cooled until high temperature superconduction is established.</p> |
