<p>PURPOSE:To prevent interference with a lower wire by fixing a mechanism section while distributing to a pair of drum body sections and arranging a section for striding over a lower wire under suspended state from a messenger wire in the central section. CONSTITUTION:A self-travelling device 10 for wire extension has a pair of drum sections 11, 12 while a saddle section 13 is arranged between the drum sections 11, 12 and a pair of drive wheels 14 are arranged above the saddle section 13. A drive motor 20 and a transmission mechanism 21 are arranged on the drum section 11 while a battery 22 and operating switches are arranged on the drum section 12 such that the weights thereof are balanced. An auxiliary rope 24 is passed between suspension rings 23 suspended from the bottoms of the drum sections 11, 12 in order to prevent fall down of a wire 6. Since the existing wire 6 is strided over through the saddle section 13, interference with the wire 6 can be prevented.</p> |
