LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A lighting system and a control method thereof are provided to reduce unnecessary power consumption by selectively driving an ultrasonic sensor and a PIR(Passive Infra-Red) sensor. CONSTITUTION: A lighting system(200) comprises a plurality of lamps(211~213), a plurality of actuators(221~223), and a human detection sensor(230). The human detection sensor generates a first detection signal which includes the turn-on command of the plurality of lamps when a human body is detected. When the body is not detected, the human detection sensor generates a second detection signal which includes the turn-off command of the plurality of lighting lamps. The plurality of actuators controls the drive of the plurality of lamps according to the first and the second detection signal.
