PURPOSE: An automatic transmission is provided to obtain a transmission stage of forward 8-speed and backward 1-speed by including three planetary gears and six friction elements. CONSTITUTION: A first planetary gear(PG1) is comprised of a first sun gear, a first ring gear, and a first carrier. The first carrier supports a first double pinion engaged with the first sun gear and the first ring gear. A second planetary gear(PG2) is comprised of a second sun gear, a second carrier, and a second ring gear. The second carrier supports a second pinion engaged with the second sun gear. A second ring gear(R2) is engaged with the second pinion. |
