The switch has a control unit accomplishing a rotary motion around a limited angle and directly actuated by a solid body outside the switch. The control unit is illuminated in different colors based on positions using a LED (8). A light guide (6) is formed by a carrier housing (4), where the carrier housing is made of transparent thermoplastic material. A hand wheel (5) is arranged on a supporting axle (15) of the carrier housing. A return spring (10) is provided for resetting the hand wheel in a rest position between the carrier housing and the hand wheel.
