PURPOSE: A rainwater management system and a method thereof for performing a sensor-based automatic control and regional integrated management are provided to no need to examine the collected rainwater by using a sensor-based monitoring and controlling function. CONSTITUTION: A tank management device(100) collects and transmits state information about each rainwater tank individually storing the collected rainwater. One or more state information is collected and transmitted about each rainwater tank. The tank management device receives a control signal according to the status information. The tank management device controls stored rainwater about each rainwater tank. A rainwater management server(200) recognizes a current state of each rainwater tank based on the state information.
