Stabilising the flame of a pre-mix burner

The method involves providing a pre-mix burner with a reaction chamber e.g. combustion chamber, where multiple premix jet nozzles end at the reaction chamber. An air-fuel mixture is injected into the reaction chamber by the premix jet nozzles. A central pilot burner (4) e.g. radiation burner, is provided in the pre-mix burner, and the fuel or the air-fuel mixture is injected as a pilot fuel into the reaction chamber. A decentralized pilot burner (4x) is provided in the pre-mix burner, where the central and decentralized pilot burners are controlled based on the load range of a gas turbine.
