<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The shoe (4) has a rigid web (16) provided with an interior edge, and a cylindrical part (8) receiving a friction lining (12), where the interior edge includes a cut-out (90) providing access to an end terminal (66) that hooks a brake cable (64). The cut-out includes a depth extending on half of a width of the rigid web, and includes a length equal to the depth of the cut-out. The cut-out includes flanks inclined such that an inlet of the cut-out is larger than bottom of the cut-out, where the cut-out is placed near an end of the shoe. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Shoe for a drum brake (claimed) of a motor vehicle i.e. automobile. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The cut-out of the interior edge of the web provides access to the brake cable hooking end terminal, thus facilitating easy, simple and economical attachment and detachment of the brake cable on or from a lever of the drum brake during maintenance operation. The flexibility of the shoe reduces scratching and grabbing noises emitted during braking conditions.
