PURPOSE: A light guiding plate and a liquid display device including the same are provided to form an engraved pattern by comprising an embossment and engraved carving in a lower surface of the light guiding plate. CONSTITUTION: A light guiding plate(200) is settled on an upper part of a reflective plate. An engraved pattern is formed on light guiding plate. The engraving pattern is comprised of embossed carving formed concavely and engraving formed convexly based on lower surface of the engraving pattern. Light sources(129a) are arrange along one side of the light guiding plate. A plurality of optical sheets(121) are settled on the light guiding plate.
