PURPOSE: A solar battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the light transmittivity and self-purification by spreading the self-assembled monolayer on a protection layer which is nano patterned. CONSTITUTION: A protective layer is formed on the upper side of a solar battery. A nano pattern is formed on the protective layer by the embossing technique or the imprinting technique. The hydrophobicity self-assembled monolayer is formed on the nano pattern. The upper side or the protective layer of the solar battery is made of the thermosetting resin or the UV curable acrylate.
