PURPOSE: A mobile messenger service providing method and a mobile terminal using the same are provided to transmit an additionally delivered content to a counterpart through a text message in a mobile messenger login state. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays a conversation window with a subscriber terminal(S315). The control unit transceives a message with the subscriber terminal(S320). The control unit receives notification of a mobile messenger server connection-released from a mobile messenger server(S325). The control unit displays an SMS(Short Message Service) message or a MMS(Multimedia Message Service) message writing window(S340). According to input, the control unit transmits SMS or MMS messages to the connection-released subscriber terminal(S345~S355).
