PURPOSE: A method for controlling an image display system is provided to control an external electronic device using a remote controller by storing a preferable action and key value to the remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A remote controller(100) senses the movement of the remote controller by a user's request. The remote controller transmits a key value matched with a preset motion information to an image display device(200). The image display device receives a preset motion key value from the remote controller. According to the key value, the image display device processes a preset image processing.
