PURPOSE: A header pipe for a heat exchanger is provided to minimize the size of the header pipe by inserting multiple heat radiating tubes into each header pipe. CONSTITUTION: A header pipe(200) for a heat exchanger comprises a first cover(210), a second cover(220), blocking plates(230), and a center partition plate(240). The first cover has one or more pair of refrigerant flow holes(211), first grooves(212), and first insertion holes(213). The second cover is installed in the bottom of the first cover and blocks the bottom of the refrigerant flow holes. Second insertion holes(223) corresponding to the first insertion holes are formed on the bottom surface of the second cover. Tube insertion holes(225) are formed between the second insertion holes. The blocking plates are installed inside the first and second covers and block the refrigerant flow holes. The center partition plate has refrigerant through holes(241).
