PURPOSE: A rights object management system using a storage device, a DRM server and a host terminal for simplifying a process for the refund of a RO are provided to supply high security to the RO of digital content by storing the RO in the storage device. CONSTITUTION: A host terminal(50) receives a selection for RO of digital content. The host terminal transmits a refund message for the RO. If the refund message is received from the host terminal, a DRM server(40) updates RO issuing history. The DRM server transmits a deletion request message requesting the deletion of the RO. A storage device(60) stores the RO.
