Method for manufacturing a non-woven abrasive flap disc

The method involves fixing an abrasive flap on a circular supporting band (2) that is centered on an axis. A non-woven abrasive band (1) of abrasive agent is supplied to an assembling device and coated with polyester resin. The abrasive flap, which is sectioned from the band, is attached on the supporting band, and a non-woven web (3) is provided on the supporting band. Fibers (4) are protruded to the non-woven web on a side that is turned away from the non-woven web, where free length and/or number of protruding fibers are reduced before cutting the flap. An independent claim is also included for an abrasive flap disk.
