<p>This invention relates to a method of fastening an edge list comprising plastic material on a wood fibreboard provided with edge portions, the edge list being positioned in a magazine, preferably unrolled to a roll. According to the invention the method comprises the combination of the following moments: the magazine (9) of the edge list is preheated in a suitable way, for instance in an oven, whereafter a part of the edge list (1) is unwound form the roll; the unwound portion of the edge list (1) is heated to such a temperature that the part of the edge list intended to be fastened on the wood fibreboard (4) is melted; the heat-treated portion of the edge list (1) is fixed by pressing to the edge portion (5-8) of the wood fibreboard (4) by a press means (11); the edge list (1) fastened on the wood fibreboard (4) is cooled down by a cooling means (14). The invention also relates to an edge list usable for carrying out the method. This edge list comprises a fastening layer (3) and a wearing layer (2).</p> |
