The present invention provides novel bicyclic ergoline esters useful as serotonin antagonists. These esters are of the general formula (I): (I) wherein: R is a primary or secondary C1-C8 alkyl group, -CH2-C2-C4 alkenyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, or C3-C8 cycloalkyl substituted with one or more primary or secondary C1-C5 alkyl groups, with the proviso that the total number of carbon atoms in R does not exceed 8; R1 is Cl-C4 alkyl; R2 is ; R3 is hydroxy, C1-C4 alkoxy, halo, C1-C4 alkyl or -?-R4; R4 is hydroxy, C1-C4 alkoxy or amino; m is 3, 4 or 5; n is 2, 3, 4 or 5; p is 0, 1, 2, or 3; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. |
