CALCINING METHOD FOR BOTTOMED CYLINDRICAL OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTOR

PURPOSE:To obtain the title superconductor having uniform superconducting characteristics by calcining an oxide superconductor-forming layer in a bell- shaped oven. CONSTITUTION:When an oxide superconductor-forming layer formed on a bottomed cylindrical substrate is to be calcined in a bell-shaped oven, an inorganic cylinder with both the ends opened is set simultaneously at a specified place along with producing an atmospheric gas stream circulating through both the inner and outer peripheries of said cylinder in the oven, thus calcining the layer in a uniform gaseous atmosphere.
