<p>PURPOSE: To increase a maximum operation range by reducing handshaking delays with the use of a tub intermittently indicating its own identity or identification even when an inquiry command signal from an inquiry device is not present. CONSTITUTION: An inquiry device transmits an RF signal to a remote object. The remote object, receiving the transmitted RF signal, back scatters, modulates the signal and returns a back scattered modulated signal with data showing an identity(ID) of the object. The inquiry device recognizes the ID of the remote object from the back scattered modulated signal, and transmits data only when it has data to be transmitted to the recognized remote object. The remove object is continuously driven to the back scattered modulated RF signal even when the remote object does not receive any RF signal actually. When a tug detects that an RF field from the inquiry device is sufficiently strong to write data into the tug, a write sensitivity of the tug is automatically increased.</p> |
