PURPOSE:To monitor maintenance factors in a printing device and notify a maintenance center automatically that a maintenance is necessary when it occurs. CONSTITUTION:A maintenance factor detection/notification means 11 is provided on a printing device 1, for monitoring maintenance factors such as the number of printing pages and various consumable parts for the printing device 1. When a maintenance is required, it is notified to a host computer 2. A maintenance information notification means 21 operates on the host computer 2 so as to notify a maintenance center 3 of the maintenance information based on the notification from the maintenance factor detection/notification means 11 through a communication line 22. |
