PURPOSE: A damping device for the opening of a lid for an electric pressure rice cooker is provided to easily open a lid by installing a damper for absorbing shock generated when the lid is opened in a hinge pin. CONSTITUTION: A damping device for the opening of a lid for an electric pressure rice cooker comprises a bracket(12), a hinge unit(23), a hinge pin(30), a spring(31), and a damper(60). The bracket is formed in a main body(10). The higne unit is formed in a lower cover of a lid(20). The hinge pin is rotatably installed in the bracket and is inserted into the hinge unit. One end of the spring is inserted into the lower cover of the lid, and the other end is inserted into the bracket of the main body. The damper is inserted into the hinge pin and is fixed to the bracket.
