DEFOAMER FORMULATIONS

PURPOSE: A defoamer composition is provided to ensure stability to hydrolysis and easy processing and to enable use for all cases passing through disruptive foaming. CONSTITUTION: A defoamer composition comprises a siloxane-based antifoaming agent and silicone polyether. The silicone polyether is prepared by the steps of: reacting 0.05~1.6 weight% of organopolysiloxane containing Si-bonded hydrogen atom with unsaturated polyether; and optionally reacting the reaction product of unsaturated polyether and organopolysiloxane with 0.01~0.5 weight% of organopolysiloxane containing Si-bonded hydrogen atom.
