PURPOSE: A pet shampoo composition containing phytoncide is provided to ensure antibacterial activity to pathogenic bacteria, fungi and yeast and to deordorize from a pet. CONSTITUTION: A pet shampoo composition for treating pathogenic dermatitis and removing pet smell contains phytoncide as an active ingredient. The composition has an antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aures, Staphylococcus intermedius, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Micrococcus luteus and F. neoformans.
