PURPOSE: A cap for airtight container and an airtight container having the same are provided to includes a gas discharge tool which periodically discharges the gas generated from the food in a sealed container in order to remove an odor component included the gas and discharge the component-removed gas. CONSTITUTION: An airtight container having a cap comprises a chamber(100), a discharge hole(114), a housing(112), an order removing filter(120), a spring(130) and an opening/closing valve(140). The upper portion of the chamber forms the left plane of a valve at a lower plane thereof, and has a cylindrical shape in which a penetrated intake hole(104) is formed at the some portion in the left side of the valve. The lower portion of the discharge hole is formed at the some portion of the upper plane, and the housing has the cylindrical shape fixed to the inner portion of the chamber. The odor removing filter is installed at the inner upper portion of the housing, and the spring is fixed to the lower plane of the odor removing filter.
