PURPOSE: A linear encoder system for a machine tool, which can attach a linear encoder scale and a linear encoder detecting part to a large structure which does not include a mounting position, is provided to uniformly maintain the measuring distance between the linear encoder scale and the linear encoder detecting part and to rapidly read a signal. CONSTITUTION: A linear encoder system for a machine tool comprises a linear encoder scale fixing bracket(10), a linear encoder scale(5), an linear encoder detection unit structure(11) and a linear encoder detection unit(6). The linear encoder scale is assembled in the linear encoder scale fixing bracket. The linear encoder detection unit structure relatively has linear motion toward the linear encoder scale.
