The envelope (1) has a rectangular detachable element (12) that is detachable from a body (11) of the envelope and arranged on one of faces of the envelope. The detachable element comprises an opaque portion i.e. opaque strip (5), forming periphery of a window (2). A transparent plastic sheet (3) is arranged for closing the window. The sheet is glued along its periphery at the opaque portion. The body is formed at outer side of a precut blank (10) forming a tab extending away from the window, where corners of the element are circular in shape. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for fabricating an envelope (2) a method for selective recycling of an envelope.
