<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal backplane reducing the number of external power supplies for supplying power to the backplane and supplying power supplies equivalent to conventional power supplies with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The backplane has: packaging regions (1, 2, ..., (m-1)) of an on-board power supply; terminal sections (1a, 1b, and the like) for packaging on-board power supplies; wiring for connecting a first power supply terminal 71 to the on-board power input side terminal section 1a; wiring for supplying power from a second power supply terminal 72 for receiving power from a second external power supply to each connector; and wiring for connecting a power supply terminal of each connector connected to the second power supply terminal to the on-board power output side terminal section.
