PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein hen eggs are small, are required in a large amount, when an antibody is produced in a large amount, and give antibodies having quality differences, respectively, while technology for producing antibodies with birds having higher immunizing power than those of mammals has been used, and the hens practically have been used. SOLUTION: When the eggs of ostrich among birds are used to produce an antibody against influenza viruses, a large amount of the antibody can be produced from an identical individual. The eggs of the ostrich does not have such a smell as that of hen eggs, and can easily be used as a specific antibody-containing material. An antibody obtained by using a seasonal influenza virus H1N1 type as an antigen has showed neutralizing characteristics also against swine influenza viruses and recent human influenza H1N1 type.
