PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus, a control method of the communication apparatus and a program, for enabling a user to easily move a portable information terminal closer to a position to which the portable information terminal should be moved closer so as to cause the portable information terminal and the communication apparatus to wirelessly communicate with each other. SOLUTION: A radio interface device 102 identifies that the portable information terminal 101 is moved closer to the radio interface device 102 (S602). Then, terminal information including an antenna position and an external shape is acquired from the portable information terminal 101 (S607). Also, the radio interface device 102 displays guide information for placing the portable information terminal 101 at a position where an antenna of the portable information terminal 101 is moved closer to an antenna position of the radio interface device 102, based on the acquired terminal information (S609).
