PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that energy density cannot be improved when seal parts are provided between collectors. SOLUTION: This bipolar type secondary battery includes a power generation element having a bipolar type electrode and a separator 17 stacked one on top of another, the bipolar type electrode having a collector 11 including a conductive resin layer, a positive electrode active material layer 13 formed on one face of the collector 11, and a negative electrode active material layer 15 formed on the other face of the collector 11.
