OPTICAL SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an optical scanner by solving a problem wherein it is difficult that a distance from an optical deflector to a separation polygon mirror is shortened since need for interposing an imaging means between the optical deflector and the separation polygon mirror exists. SOLUTION: The optical scanner includes the optical deflector for deflecting and scanning light fluxes from a plurality of light sources on the same surface. The light fluxes from the plurality of the light sources are arranged to make incidence of a prescribed angle for a surface orthogonal to a rotating shaft of the optical deflector. In addition, a separation means for reflecting the light fluxes from the plurality of the light sources in response to incident angles to a plurality of different directions is arranged on an upstream side rather than an imaging means.
