PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity device capable of improving reception sensitivity by a small number of branches, in branch synthesis diversity. SOLUTION: A synthetic diversity device 100 of N (≥2) branches includes antennas 101-104, an antenna selecting circuit 110, a branch 1 receiver 121, a branch 2 receiver 122, a branch 1 reception quality measuring circuit 131, a branch 2 reception quality measuring circuit 132, a synthetic portion 140, a reception quality measuring circuit 150, and a controller 160. When the reception quality after synthesis is deteriorated more than a predetermined value, the controller 160 selects one un favorable reception state branch among the N branches and selects one branch among M-N unused branches, and controls these 2 branches to perform variable gain synthesis.
