PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the operating force when fitting connectors to each other, while securing sufficient contact pressure. SOLUTION: The female connector 10, to which a male connector 30 having a tab terminal 40 can be fitted, includes a terminal-holding part 13; a terminal fitting 20 for contacting the tab terminal 40 of the male connector 30 when inserted thereinto; a leaf spring 23 for pressing the tab terminal 40 against the terminal fitting 20; a movable block 14 movable between a restriction position where a free end 23F of the leaf spring 23 is held to restrict the spring force on the tab terminal 40 and a release position where the free end 23F of the leaf spring 23 is released to give the spring force to the tab terminal 40; and a bolt 18 to be threaded to a female screw part 11D of a female shield shell 11 for moving the movable block 14 from the restriction position to the release position, after the male connector 30 is fitted thereto.
