PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a printing plate high in print quality by an easy method, in which the projection of the plate that constitutes a plate making image is hardly deformed during printing. SOLUTION: The surface of a porous sheet 1 having a three-dimensionally communicated large number of holes is selectively heated with TPH5 to form a recess 7 and a projection 8. A surface layer formation agent 11 is impregnated from the printing surface of the projection to be cured, forming the surface layer 20. Since on the surface of the porous sheet 1, the holes are blocked with a coating layer 2, even if ink is loaded thereon during printing, the ink is not penetrated inside, allowing the quantity of ink to be precisely controlled. During printing, since the projection is hardly deformed when pushed against a printing paper, the accuracy of printing is improved and high print quality is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
