PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an art preventing termites more surely than heretofore without using a termite preventive chemical. SOLUTION: The termite preventing device includes: a stopper receiver comprising a housing part housing a part of a plate-like termite stopper inhibiting infestation of the termites, and a plate-like flange part arranged at an opening of the housing part and connected to a concrete part forming a lower part of a building; the termite stopper comprising an insertion part inserted into the housing part of the stopper receiver, and a projection arranged continuously to the insertion part and projecting outward from an outer surface of the building when the insertion part is inserted in the housing part of the stopper receiver; and a plate-like temporary spacer inserted into the housing part in place of the termite stopper when the concrete part is constructed.
