The invention concerns a method of manufacturing a regenerator (9), in particular for a Stirling cooling arrangement, in which a wire arrangement is formed on a core (24). It is endeavoured to enable a simple manufacturing of a regenerator with a wire arrangement. For this purpose, the wire arrangement is made with at least one wire (12) that is wound around the core (24).
