Disclosed is the reactor core of a nuclear reactor, the core comprising a fresh-fuel part (11) which is charged with a fresh fuel and a combustion part (12) in which a fuel burns, wherein the plutonium yielded from uranium fissions to thereby produce power and the combustion part (12) shifts over the period from the beginning to the ending of each combustion cycle. The fresh-fuel part (11) has been formed so that when the reactor core, which is approximately circle in a plan view thereof, is divided into a central part and a peripheral part, then the central part has a smaller weight of uranium per unit volume than the peripheral part.
|
