<p>A method and apparatus for network elements in a local area network (LAN) to obtain service content are provided by the present invention. The method includes the following steps: transmitting to the gateway of said LAN a version of service content matched with the element parameters of a network element, which is one of multiple network elements requesting for the same service content; and allocating said service content to said multiple network elements through the gateway of said LAN. The present invention resolves the problem that network bandwidth is wasted when respectively transmitting service content to each personal network element, thus effectively saving bandwidth resources.</p> |
