<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform the atmosphere learning of an oxygen concentration sensor and improve the detection accuracy of an oxygen concentration. <P>SOLUTION: An engine ECU 40 implements the atmosphere learning of an output value of an oxygen concentration sensor 18, based on an output value outputted by the oxygen concentration sensor 18 when inside of an exhaust passage 17 is in an atmospheric state, in a vehicle having: an engine 10 which has an oxygen concentration sensor 18 for detecting an oxygen concentration in exhaust gas of an exhaust passage 17; and a motor 22 as a power source other than the engine 10. In the engine ECU 40, it is determined whether or not an implementation condition of atmosphere learning is established. When it is determined that the implementation condition is established, the operation of the engine 10 is stopped and an engine output shaft 19 is made to rotate by driving the motor 22.
