<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system which includes high reliability by enlarging the range of self-diagnosis of the communication control part of a service processor. <P>SOLUTION: A computer system 1 includes: service processors SP0 and SP1; and inter-service processor communication paths 60 and 70. A service processor SP0 includes communication control parts 101 and 103 and a return communication path 105. The service processor SP1 includes communication control parts 201 and 203 and a return communication path 205. When normal operation setting is set, the communication control parts 201 and 203 are communicatively connected through the inter-service processor communication paths 60 and 70 to the communication control parts 101 and 103 of the service processor SP0.
