PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow user interface resources belonging to a device to be used by another device and to prevent the loss of convenience of a user interface function for original device control. SOLUTION: A client computer 13 displays information necessary for device control in an LCD display 2410, and recognizes a user's device control intention by a touch panel 2409. The client computer 13 also communicates with another device, presents user interface information from other device to the user in response to a request received from the other device, and transfers user interface information from the touch panel to the other device. Then, the client computer 13 selectively switches a first interface mode that uses the LCD display 2410 and the touch panel 2409 for device control, and a second interface mode that combines the LCD display 2410 and the touch panel 2409 with a means for transferring the user interface information.
