PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a home electric appliance storage that it may break down when used as a home electric appliance is housed in a cabinet even after there is an abnormality such as abnormal overheating with the home electric appliance, and that the damage may possibly be extended. SOLUTION: A storage door 13 that is openable/closable is provided on an opening portion of the cabinet 1, carbon monoxide concentration at a home electric appliance storage portion 2 is detected by carbon monoxide concentration detection means 12, and control means is operated based on the output of the carbon monoxide concentration detection means 12. The control means 15 closes the storage door 13 when the output rising rate of the carbon monoxide concentration detection means 12 exceeds a predetermined level in a case where the carbon monoxide concentration at the home electric appliance storage portion 2 is abnormally varied.
