PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction processing apparatus allowing a user to choose to terminate or continue transaction under processing, when power supply is disconnected. SOLUTION: The transaction processing apparatus for conducting a predetermined transaction with a user includes a detection unit for detecting the discontinued supply of externally supplied power; an operation unit for displaying information for informing the user of the discontinued supply of the power and screen information for allowing the user to choose to continue the transaction; and a control unit for determining whether processing related to the transaction is being performed, when the discontinued supply of the power is detected by the detection unit and whether the power supply is a disconnected state, and repeatedly displaying the screen information on the operation unit, when it is determined that the processing related to the transaction is being performed and the supply of the power is discontinued.
