The invention relates to a crystalline rasagiline hydrochloride that exhibits an XRPD pattern having peaks at 2? of 8.9°, 12.2°, and 17.2° +/- 0.2° and a process for making the crystalline rasagiline hydrochloride, which comprises contacting a solid rasagiline hydrochloride with an inert organic liquid medium for a sufficient time to achieve the conversion of said solid rasagiline hydrochloride into said crystalline rasagiline hydrochloride.
