<p>Provided is a matrix substrate, which has a conductive film easily and surely formed in a predetermined pattern on a matrix circuit with an insulating film therebetween, has reduced particles generated in the manufacture steps, and has an improved product yield with excellent process controllability. In a transparent conductive film (L), a contact region (CA), which is electrically connected to the matrix circuit, and a non-contact region (NA), which is not electrically connected to matrix circuits in regions other than the contact region (CA), are partitioned by means of partitioning sections (D) provided on the boundaries. Each of the partitioning sections (D) is formed as a step formed by the difference between the height of the contact region (CA) and that of the non-contact region (NA), the contact region (CA) and the non-contact region (NA) are electrically separated by means of the step, and the pixel electrode (14) and the terminal sections (26, 27) in the contact region are formed in predetermined patterns, thereby configuring the matrix substrate (10).</p> |
