PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of improving the efficiency of advertisement and further promoting the spread of the information processing apparatus.

SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a display means that displays information on a picture; a main system that drives the main information processing apparatus and displays information necessary upon driving on the picture; an advertising system that displays advertising information on the screen; a start receiving means that receives a start instruction; a starting means that starts both the main system and the advertising system when the start instruction is received; a segmenting means that segments the picture into at least a first display region and a second display region; and a display control means that makes the information displayed by the main system and advertising information displayed by the advertising system displayed in the first display region and the second display region, respectively.
